What is Wi-Fi Calling?

Wi-Fi calling enables you to make phone calls on your smartphone using a wireless internet connection instead of your cellular network.

Note: This pertains to personal smartphones not BayCare owned devices.

There are multiple benefits to using the Wi-Fi Calling feature on your smartphone. It allows you to make or receive calls even when you have poor or non-existent cellular network coverage. It is beneficial when you work in an area with poor cellular service.

Benefits:

Once Wi-Fi calling is enabled on your smartphone, make and receive calls as normal.
All of your calls and texts function as expected.
No additional downloads are needed.
All of your contacts are available whether or not they are using Wi-Fi calling.
